Do you want to deepen your gemmological knowledge? Would you like to expand your gemmological laboratory with more practical testing methods?

Advances in technology make it possible: mobile, advanced testing equipment is now affordable and therefore highly interesting for practising gemmologists. The addition of these modern methods to classic gemmological equipment is the key to gaining a great deal of additional information about the authenticity and treatment of coloured gemstones, diamonds and organic substances.

In the special seminar “Scientific Methods in Gemmology” we will show you how to successfully apply and use mobile instruments in a variety of ways.

You will also gain an insight into working with stationary laboratory equipment.

The main topics of this special seminar are:

  • Raman spectroscopy
  • Photoluminescence spectroscopy
  • Infrared spectroscopy
  • UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy and the basics of colour measurement
  • Fundamentals of Chemical Analysis

The seminar dates for 2025 will be published soon!
