Anniversary Conference "50 Years of Training Centre"

SAVE THE DATE

This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our full-time training centre for gemmology.

Already since the first years after the German Gemmological Association (DGemG) was founded in 1932, courses and seminars in gemmology are offered. In the 1970s, the step was taken to establish our training centre, which was inaugurated in 1975.

To mark this anniversary, we are holding a

Anniversary Conference
from 23rd until 25th of May 2025.

We are planning an attractive programme with national and international participants and are already looking forward to celebrating this anniversary with you.

On the same weekend, the Idar-Oberstein Jazz Festival and the Mineral Fair will take place, so visitors can expect to enjoy a variety of interesting activities. Due to the large number of expected guests, it is recommended to make a hotel reservation as soon as possible.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support during our anniversary!

The constant developments in the field of gemmology due to the discovery of new gem deposits, the occurrence of new syntheses and imitations, and in particular the technological advances in the development of new treatments, require the practical gemmologists to keep their knowledge steadily up-to-date.

The DGemG Gemstone Library is constantly updated, providing members and seminar participants of the German Gemmological Association (DGemG) up-to-date information on the characteristics and diagnostic inclusions of all commercially important gemstones as well as an extensive fund of collector stones.
